Friday 07/25/14
Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone to reach "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" on the north side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and on the northeast and north side of the Houston area and "Moderate" levels in the San Antonio, Austin, Tyler-Longview, Waco-Killeen, Beaumont-Port Arthur, and El Paso areas, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Smoke from Canadian fires may continue to keep the daily PM2.5 AQI in the low end of the "Moderate" range over most of the state.

Saturday 07/26/14
Smoke from Canadian fires may continue to raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the low end of the "Moderate" range over much of the state. African dust should move into most of South Texas and should help to keep the daily PM2.5 AQI in the low end of the "Moderate" range as Canadian smoke moves out of South Texas. Winds may be light enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" levels in the El Paso area.

Sunday 07/27/14 Outlook
African dust should cover most of South, Southeast, and Central Texas and will likely raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the "Moderate" range. Elsewhere in the state, Canadian smoke may help to keep PM2.5 levels in the "Moderate" range except in the northern Panhandle where cleaner air behind a cold front should keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Monday 07/28/14 Outlook
If there is enough afternoon sunshine, winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" or possibly higher levels on the southwest side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. African dust should cover most of South, Southeast, Central, and Southwest Texas and will likely raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the "Moderate" range over most of this area. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower background levels should keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Tuesday 07/29/14 Extended Outlook
If there is enough afternoon sunshine, winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" or possibly higher levels on the west side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and in the Tyler-Longview area with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. African dust may continue over most of South, Southeast, Central, and Southwest Texas and will likely raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the "Moderate" range over most of this area. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower background levels should keep air quality in the "Good" range.
