Turn Up! At Dallas Love Field Airport to see what no one else sees:
The inner workings of an airport
What: This summer, Dallas-area students will have a chance to learn about the people and machines that keep airplanes up in the air and keep people safe on the ground when the Turn Up! event series makes a stop at Dallas Love Field Airport. The event is part of Dallas City of Learning—Mayor Mike Rawling's and Big Thought's new citywide summer learning initiative—a program designed to help young people explore new ideas, pursue theirinterests while discovering new ones, and make connections between the things they learn in class with the possibilities of the world around them. Families attending the Love Field Turn Up! will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities, watch demonstrations, take guided tours and enjoy airline vendor exhibits and concessions. Bracelets issued at the Turn Up! will also grant participants free admission to the Frontiers of Flight Museum throughout the day. All the facilities for this event are in compliance with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act).
When: Saturday, July 12
10 am to 2 pm
Where: Department of Aviation Office (parking lot)
