Aloe Vera: Herbs at a Glance

Aloe vera was called "the plant of immortality" by ancient Egyptians. Historically, aloe was used topically to heal wounds and for various skin conditions. Today, aloe is also used as a folk or traditional remedy for a variety of conditions, including diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, and osteoarthritis.
